CLM was the topic at the November General Membership meeting. Janine Book, Gail Semonian, and Lynn Chiafullo spoke about the benefits of becoming a CLM, as well as the many things PLAA and ALA are doing to assist members in obtaining the designation. The membership was reminded that PLAA would reimburse any member for the cost of the exam fee if they take and pass the CLM exam.
The new CLM Study Guide is expected to be published in the early part of 2018 and PLAA plans to purchase a few copies for PLAA members to borrow. This will increase the library of books PLAA has available to members interested in sitting for the CLM exam. Members should reach out to Lynn Chiafullo to reserve one of the study guides, or any of the other materials PLAA has available.
The meeting then turned to a game of CLM Family Feud. The willing participants formed 2 teams of 5 and the competition began with various survey questions regarding the different areas of legal management that are included on the CLM exam. The members of the winning team each won a $10 Starbucks gift card.
