Session 4 of 4

Self-Advocacy: Being More Assertive

October 13, 2021, 9:00 A.M. – 10:30 A.M.

A key to a happy and healthy career is to be in control of your own work environment, but everyone knows that can be impossible for a legal administrator. The next best thing is to be in control of your emotions and stress while working. Being assertive and advocating for yourself empowers you to feel more in control even if you don’t have ultimate control.

At the end of the session the attendees will:

  • Understand the differences between aggressive, assertive and non-assertive behaviors
  • Understand the role of emotional intelligence at work
  • Learn techniques to enhance their assertive behavior
